Getting started
PDF Refactor
PDF Refactor makes clean copies of your PDF files — it removes hidden details like author names, dates, and other file information, and strips out any password protection. Your original files are never changed; the clean copies are saved wherever you choose.
What you'll need
- A username and password from your administrator — accounts aren't self-service, so if you don't have one yet, ask them first.
- Access to your email, since signing in also sends you a one-time code to enter.
1. Sign in
Enter your username and password, then the code that gets emailed to you.
Sign in2. Get the app
Once you're signed in, download the app and open it on your Windows computer. There's nothing else to install.
Download the app3. Use it
- Open the app and sign in the same way you did above.
- Choose the folder that has the PDFs you want cleaned up.
- Choose where the clean copies should go — a folder on your computer, or Google Drive.
- Click Run Now.
